This keyboard is what we lovingly call a “no box” keyboard. When a customer buys a new iMac, some prefer a full size wired keyboard with the 10-key numerical keypad instead of the compact wireless keyboard that comes standard in the box.ÃFor those customers, we will pull the wireless keyboard out of the iMac box and replace it with the wired keyboard. We then have a FACTORY NEW wireless keyboard that bargain hunters can scoop up at a great deal.
How does this “no box” keyboard compare to the traditional boxed retail version? Well, obviously there is no cardboard box or the accompanying merchandising materials that are normally in the box. But you were just going to recycle those anyway, right? Although there is no retail box, the keyboard itself is still wrapped up in the Apple factory plastic so that you know it is still brand new and unused.
The only thing this no box keyboard does not include is the Apple Lightning Cable. If you buy a retail keyboard, you also get a Lightning Cable in the box since that is how the internal battery is recharged. However most people nowadays probably have several Lightning Cables already lying around their house that they have accumulated from their iPhones and iPads. If you already have a Lightning Cable, then why pay for yet another? Save that money and use the cables you already own to get a great deal on this “no box” keyboard.
