FAQ- Shipping & Delivery

Do you ship to PO Boxes?

Yes we do! However, since the Post Office doesn’t pick up from us as late in the day as UPS does, allow for an extra day to get it out of our door.

 

How do you usually ship packages?

As the old joke goes... very carefully. But seriously, we generally use UPS and can offer all the options they provide. We can also use other carriers such as FedEx and the Postal Service. If you want to use someone besides UPS, just put your instructions in the field next to “other” in the shopping cart, and we’ll get the latest rates and contact you immediately with the charges and timing.

 

How do I find out the status of my order?

Once your purchase has been shipped, you will receive a Shipping Confirmation e-mail, which will include the UPS tracking code and link to the UPS site.

If you have not received either the Shipping Confirmation e-mail yet or a personal update from your PowerMax consultant and you think your shipment should be on its way, feel free to contact our Customer Service team at 1-888-769-7629 or e-mail your sales consultant directly. Since we do't use voice mail during office hours, and always answer our e-mails, we'll always make sure you know exactly what's going on, communicated from a real live human being.

 

How long will it be before I receive my goods?

Your UPS tracking information should provide an estimate for you. As always, you can contact us directly for an update if you need more information. If there are any back orders, special orders, or other issues that would delay your shipping, you will be personally contacted by your sales rep. Obviously, international orders, including shipments to APO/FPO and military addresses, are going to take a little longer for proper packaging, paperwork and delivery. Do you ship to Military APO/FPO Addresses?

Yes we do! PowerMax supports and appreciates America's fighting forces, and so we’re happy to do so!
While they sometimes take a little extra time, we make it as easy as possible to get your product no matter where you're stationed. Just enter your zip code in the "zip/postal code" field on the Shopping Cart page of the PowerMax.com website and make sure United States is selected as the country. We never charge a premium for APO/FPO delivery and your product will ship promptly via the United States Postal Service.

Note: If your zip code comes up as invalid (which sometimes happens with APO or FPO addresses), email us at sales@powermax.com, or call 888-769-7629, and we'll get your order processed manually. It's that easy!

Do you ship internationally?

Yes we can. Note, however, that some manufacturer's don't allow their products to be shipped internationally, so contact one of our sales representatives before ordering to ensure we can handle the order for you.

 

What do you charge for shipping?

Standard UPS ground is free on all purchases over $100 (some exclusions do apply). Our site links directly to UPS, and shipping charges which do not qualify for the free shipping are simply based on weight calculations, value and destination.

 

What are the shipping charges for returning an order?

There are no return shipping charges for verified DOA Apple computers, but return freight on all other products is the responsibility of the customer.

PowerMax will be happy to assist you if you're uncertain how to ship a returned product. For more information on returns, please see our return policy page. We are not responsible for product defects, because we do not manufacture the products we carry. However, if you pay to send the item back to PowerMax, and it qualifies under our return policy, we will either replace the item and ship the replacement to you at no charge or provide a prompt refund. At PowerMax, we pride ourselves on being easy to work with and will employ every resource to ensure that your item is replaced promptly, without hassle.

 

Why is there no free shipping on used gear?

Obviously, every company has to charge a certain amount above the cost of their products in order to make a profit. Much of the determination as to what to charge is due to competitive pressures. Free shipping is prevalent among internet resellers, but used computers are often sold by private parties or companies who charge for all shipping. Therefore, in both instances we are keeping the playing field level for a better comparison as to our respective values.

 

Do you charge sales tax?

There is no sales tax in Oregon, so we don't have any mechanism to do so. In addition, current national laws prohibit sales tax between the states. However, any use taxes or the like are subject to the laws of your own state.
