Apple has announced that it plans to launch its first Apple Store in Taiwan as part of its plan to serve the market better.

Apple revealed its plans to launch the first Apple Store in Taiwan through its Taiwan website. According to the report, the new store will be located in a Xinyi District building called Taipei 101, the fourth tallest skyscraper in the world. The company did not disclose the date in which it plans to launch the store but one of the country’s websites called AppleDaily suggested that it will most likely be at the end of the month.

“Taiwan’s first Apple Store will soon open in Taipei!” stated AppleDaily.

Apple’s products were previously distributed by authorized dealers

The launch of the Apple Store is significant for the company as far as distribution is concerned. Apple fans in Taiwan rely on authorized dealers such as iStore and Studio A, who sell the company’s products. It will be interesting to see how things turn out after the launch of the store considering that Taiwan and China are not on good terms. China considers Taiwan a rogue nation.

The presence of an Apple store in Taiwan makes sense since most of Apple’s major suppliers have their headquarters in Taiwan though their factories are located in China. Having a store in the country thus makes a lot of sense and it is about time that the tech giant sets up shop. It is believed that Apple delayed the launch due to the fact that there are so many retail locations in the country with licensed Apple retailers.

The launch of the Apple Store in Taiwan also aligns with the company’s objective of strengthening its global sales so as to beat its rivals and stay ahead of the game. The tech firm has launched 495 retails stores operating in 17 countries with 270 of them located in the U.S. This is mainly because the U.S is the company’s largest market. The latest details suggest that the new retail store in Taiwan will be launched sometime this week but the actual date has not been announced.
