Backup Battery and USB
Have a UPS backup battery that's equipped with a USB port? Try this: go into System --> Library --> CoreServices --> MenuExtras, and double click the battery menu extra. When a compatible UPS is connected, this menulet can display the remaining power in the UPS. Also note that the Energy Saver preference pane allows you to configure settings to be used when on UPS power.
