Selecting Text in a Editor
When selecting text in an editor (e.g. TextEdit, a new email message, etc), hold the shift key as you press the left or right arrow keys. This may be a more convenient way to select adjacent characters for clipboard operations or deletion. Hold option + shift to select entire words at a time, and hold command + shift to select entire lines at a time.
