This substantially upgraded version of the Aviator offers superior arm dynamics, greater control, and increased load capacity and stability. Utilizing new components and design elements, the MX is a breakthrough in stabilizer system value.
NEW MX Generation Dual Arm - Taking the highly successful Aviator to the next level, the MX Generation arm incorporates new, super-rigid arm sections with improved linkages and spring assemblies, allowing for heavier loads and improved overall stability.
NEW Form-Fit Vest - This new improved vest includes a contoured chest pad, torso-gripping 4-point buckle system, and height-adjustable chest plate. The lightweight, cool vest hugs and supports the upper body, making it possible to fly heavy cameras for extended periods
No tools required for adjustment - The AviatorMX sled has been streamlined so that all necessary balance adjustments can be made quickly and easily. The comfortable knurled grip can be twisted to adjust gimbal position and provides precise control over the sled.
NEW FlowTech Gimbal - Classic design has been improved with a contoured, ergonomically-sloped extension grip for improved handling and the ability to add a zoom control. Precision 3-axis gimbal delivers consistent fluid motion with six sets of bearings. The lightweight, rugged gimbal ties the system together effortlessly.
MX Generation Trim Adjuster - One of the most significant upgrades is the MX Trim Adjuster, which allows the operator to compensate for unwanted arm tilt by leveling the arm at the vest mount, thereby offering improved comfort and control. Other improvements include a faster, more comfortable tension adjustment, better mechanical control, and superior cosmetics.
Balance and Design - With an unmatched balance of design and capability, the Aviator MX is the final word in stabilizer systems up to 18lbs.
Power, Vision, Balance - At the base of the sled, a 7" 16:9 NTSC/PAL color monitor serves as a large external viewfinder. A proprietary Li-Ion battery w/ LED capacity indicator is standard (V-lock & AB mounts available on request at no extra charge). The monitor and batteries serve as counterweight for vertical balance and their positions can be adjusted for fine-tuning.
