The first mobile RAID-5 storage solution designed for today's digital content creation lifestyle. Featuring a high-quality aluminum rack housing, the Studiorack S4FR incorporates a dual-membrane enclosure design that greatly increases thermal efficiency while reducing disk and fan noise. A dedicated hardware RAID processor reduces system bottle-necks and provides a reduced rebuild window in the event of a disk failure.
Four hot-swappable SATA disks allow quick replacement and capacity upgrades on the fly. The Proavio FR series is ideal for systems with limited expansion capabilities such as MacBook Pro, MacBook and Mac Mini. Proavio's new FR line allows users to get the most out any DAW or editing system by offering capacity, performance & redundancy options simply not available in standard FireWire/USB drives.
S4FR is designed for content creation professionals in need of no-compromise desktop storage with real-time hardware data protection. RAID-5 has finally moved out of the IT room and into the studio, offering users an easy-to-use solution that delivers performance, ease-of-use and four connectivity options. S4FR is the ideal storage solution for digital audio recording & mixing, graphic design, video editing, digital photography and disk-based backup.

Automatic data regeneration rebuilds the missing data in the event of a disk failure, ensuring your data always available. Standard features such as locking hot-swap disks, system door, user selectable RAID settings and precision cut aluminum construction extend system reliability.
High-speed multi-interface connectivity guarantees the industry's best support for limited expansion systems such as laptop computers, Apple iMac and Apple Mac Mini.
Studiorack S4FR supports Windows Vista when using the USB or eSATA ports ONLY. FireWire is NOT supported due to capacity limitations on FireWire controller chips used in typical Windows-based PCI cards or embedded controllers. Mac computers are fully supported.
