All the I/Os you need
Matrox MXO2 gives you a full range of professional audio and video inputs and outputs, genlock, and RS-422 machine control - right on the box. Direct 5.1 surround sound monitoring is supported on the RCA outputs and both 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound monitoring are supported on the HDMI output. No additional breakout cable is required.

Inexpensive HD monitoring
The unique Matrox HDMI Calibration Utility lets an HDMI monitor perform like a broadcast HD/SD monitor with 10-bit 4:2:2 color precision.
Free Matrox productivity apps
A variety of free software tools are included with every Matrox MXO2 device. Matrox Vetura Capture and Vetura Playback for Mac and Matrox A/V Tools for PC support tape-based workflows. These apps let you quickly and easily capture and playback video and still frames for use with any NLE.

Engineered without the need for a failure-prone cooling fan, the rugged aluminum chassis acts as a heat sink to dissipate internal heat for a long reliable life and noise-free operation. Only the highest quality components go into Matrox I/O devices.
Edit anywhere
Matrox MXO2 devices are the only I/O products that go wherever you need them - Mac and PC; laptop and desktop; in the studio, in an OB van, and on set. Matrox MXO2 can even run off of standard field batteries. For maximum versatility, they connect to your computer via a PCI Express adapter card, an ExpressCard/34 adapter, or a Thunderbolt adapter.
Matrox RT engine
The Matrox RT engine provides full-resolution, full-frame rate, full-quality, multi-layer, realtime video editing for Adobe Premiere Pro editors on the PC. It provides many of the benefits of GPU acceleration but works with any system, even laptops. You also get realtime Matrox Flex CPU effects such as primary and secondary color correction, smooth speed changes, and many more. A high-quality, highly-efficient. MPEG-2 I-frame intermediate codec streamlines working with CPU-taxing footage such as AVCHD and XDCAM.
Closed captioning
Matrox MXO2 supports closed captioning workflows with Final Cut Pro on the Mac and Adobe Premiere Pro on the PC.
Stream from any camera, anywhere
Matrox MXO2 is a convenient capture device for streaming live events. Choose your favorite app Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder, Microsoft Expression, QuickTime Broadcaster, or Telestream Wirecast. Connect to any HD or SD video source via SDI, HDMI or analog. Stream from anywhere there's an internet connection.
3D production and post
Matrox MXO2 can be used in a variety of scenarios to assist cost-conscious content creators in 3D stereo production and post. Three popular workflows supported by Matrox MXO2 include: live 3D monitoring on set, quick creation of 3D dailies, and monitoring/editing 3D projects.
