With the LaCie CloudBox, you've got everything you need for storage and backup. Just copy and paste your most important files to your CloudBox, and they will automatically be backed up online daily. It's that simple: your data is backed up on a local hard drive and again in the cloud for double protection. The CloudBox includes a one-year online backup contract for 100GB, which can be easily renewed.
Quick Setup and Easy-to-Use Interface
A simple setup wizard makes the CloudBox ready for backup in minutes. No matter if you're on Windows or Mac, drag and drop your files to the CloudBox, and they will be uploaded automatically to the cloud. Hybrid storage means your files are doubly protected, with one copy on the local hard drive, and another in the cloud.
Fast and Efficient File Restoration
No matter where you are or what may happen to your CloudBox - damage, theft or fire - you'll always have an online copy of your files. If you want to recover everything, the CloudBox can restore your entire online backup. If you just want to restore certain files, the CloudBox's Online Restore application allows you to browse and restore selections of files and folders, up to 10 previous versions.
Ultimate Data Security
Your password is truly secure and not stored online, so no one - not even LaCie - can access your online backup. What's more, every file is encrypted with ultra-secure 128-bit AES before being uploaded. You can be confident that all of your data is safe and secure in the cloud, no matter what happens to the CloudBox itself.
Easily Store Data on Your CloudBox
An intuitive interface helps you get started in minutes. The provided LaCie Backup Software for Windows reg; and Mac reg; will back up, a maximum of 10 computers automatically to your CloudBox. Even more simply, you can drag and drop your files to your CloudBox. Your files are safe because the CloudBox is password-protected, so no one in your local network can access your data.
Automatic Encrypted Online Backup
You don't have to be a computer expert to back up your files to the cloud. All files stored on your CloudBox are automatically backed up every day online onto secure servers. Thanks to AES 128-bit encryption, every file is encrypted before it leaves your home or your company. Your online backup is also secure, as access is password-restricted. No one, not even LaCie, can access your files because you are the only one who knows the password.
Restore Your Files
If you mistakenly deleted some files on your computer or on your CloudBox, you can restore them to any place where you have an Internet connection. The CloudBox Restore Application allows you to browse your online backup and restore up to 10 previous backup versions. In case of theft (your computers OR your CloudBox) or fire, the CloudBox Restore Application will even allow you to perform a full restore to another computer. Lastly, a replacement CloudBox is able to restore itself from your latest online backup.
Eco-Friendly
As soon as you finish copying your most important files to your CloudBox, you can shut down your computer to save energy. Unlike other online backup services, the CloudBox doesn't need your computer to be on to secure your files online. LaCie CloudBox works independently of any computer.
